Texas Tech University at Hill College welcomes new advisor at Burleson Center

Texas Tech University at Hill College is proud to welcome Cheryl Glosup as the new academic advisor at the Hill College Burleson Center. 

“I'm extremely excited to work for the Texas Tech Regional site family, they are an outstanding group of people. Additionally, I feel as though I'm coming home by being able to work at the Hill College Burleson Center because this is where my educational journey began,” said Glosup. “I'm looking forward to working with students and observing them achieving their educational goals. One of my goals is to help students understand that earning a degree is not just a piece of paper. Earning their degree is like receiving a 'golden key' that can unlock employment doors that may have never been accessible to them without it. I know that earning my degree has done this for me and it's one of the best things I've ever done for my family and myself. Furthermore, I'm also extremely excited for students to be able to obtain their associates and bachelor’s degree without ever leaving their community.”

Although born in Minnesota, Glosup has spent her entire life in the Lone Star State. She currently lives in Burleson and supports students in their transition to Texas Tech University (TTU). Glosup obtained her Associates Degree in Behavioral Science from Hill College and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas in Integrative Studies: Social Work, Psychology, and Sociology. 

Her office hours are Mon. - Wed., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Thur., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, Glosup says, “I want to be as flexible as possible for our non-traditional students who may need a later appointment time. I can accommodate students who may need to have a later appointment, as long as the campus is open.”
